Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan is expected to include a song featuring a well-known rapper, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Check out the details!

Thalapathy Vijay’s much-anticipated film Jana Nayagan is scheduled to hit theatres on January 9, 2026. As the actor’s rumored final outing on the big screen, buzz around the project is steadily building — and now, there’s talk of an exciting musical collaboration in the works.
According to a report by IndiaGlitz, viral rapper Hanumankind is likely to be featured on a track in the film, with music composed by the ever-popular Anirudh Ravichander. While official confirmation is still awaited, early reports suggest that Hanumankind has already recorded a rap portion for the soundtrack.
If true, fans could be in for a treat — watching Thalapathy bring his signature screen presence to a song powered by this rising star of India’s hip-hop scene.
For those unfamiliar, Hanumankind — real name Sooraj Cherukat — is a rapper, singer, and actor originally from Kerala. Raised in the U.S., he returned to India in 2012 and initially worked in investment banking before diving into music full-time.

Hanumankind stepped into the music scene with his debut EP Kalari in 2019, marking the beginning of his journey in the performing arts. Since then, he’s been part of various creative projects, but it was his 2024 hit single Big Dawgs, featuring Kalmi, that truly propelled him into the spotlight. His recent release, Run It Up, has also been gaining renewed attention, further cementing his place in the Indian hip-hop landscape.
Beyond music, Hanumankind has also ventured into films. He lent his voice to a song in Fahadh Faasil’s blockbuster Aavesham and made his acting debut in the western-style action film Rifle Club, directed by Aashiq Abu.
As for Jana Nayagan, the film is shaping up to be a landmark project. Starring Thalapathy Vijay in what is widely believed to be his final movie before making a full-time entry into politics, the action drama is directed by H. Vinoth. Bobby Deol will take on the role of the main antagonist, while Pooja Hegde reunites with Vijay after their previous collaboration in Beast.
The film is expected to weave in political themes and features an impressive ensemble cast, including Premalu star Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Narain, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others.
